- What does the header image convey about your website, and how does this relate to meeting the information needs of your target audience? In the first photo, I chose a boutique of roses with multiple color mixture. This depicts the In Living Color nature of my blog that encourages my audience to pick and try on a clothing haul that inspires newness and out of the box designing. (2) The image I chose displays the vibrant boldness of creating a fashion statement. I chose a group of black women to represent my website/content’s audience.
- Where did you find your source images? How do you know that you are allowed to reuse them? I found my both images from the website https://unsplash.com/photos/pXmbsF70ulM and https://unsplash.com/photos/JpCOGj0uIlI by creator Denise Chan and Clarke Sanders. I am allowed to use these free photos because the website and creators do not require permission underneath the Unsplash site license.
- Briefly address the production process. How did you make use of image editing techniques described in Manovich’s article to create a multi-layer image? I did not go into detail with the Manovich’s article’s approach to a multilayered image except the 3d effect of real life pictures of body image and roses. My header image focus is vibrant coloring. I am confident that I will add a different image that captures a more specific style language to my website.
- Compare your production process to that of a single-layer bitmap image of the sort that Davison describes. How is it similar or different? My images differs from Davidson’s because of its 3-D real-life photo.
